transparent part of scrollbar, i only want to make a part of it disaper

Is there anyway to make the face color transparent and keep all of the other colors, it's cutting off stuff in my entries and I would REALLY like for it not to do that. PLZPLZPLZPLZPLZPLZPLZPLZPLZPLZ help me, this is very important cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif
