your opinions about euthanasia.
(go look it up on google if you don't know what it is, but here's a short, concise description) euthanasia is currently illegal. it's assisting a person in killing him/herself. (kind of like helping someone die... who really wants to die) 2 examples: > a man has incurable cancer and wants to be put to the end of his suffering. if a doctor supplies him with morphine to kill himself, that would be considered illegal. > a kid is miserable and wants to suffocate himself. but natural human reflex forces you to loosen up when you start suffocating, so the kid asks his buddy to hold down a plastic bag over his head. if the friend agrees to help, that's considered illegal... there are a lotta pros and cons points to this... some pros: 1 put out of misery 2 more room in hospital some cons: 1 its murder we did this in debate team last year. just wanted to hear what you guys hafta say about the moral issues, etc. |
