Haha, alright. I wrote these when I was in the 9th and 10th grade so they're a bit elementary. I'm not much of a writer and I thought it would be fun to poke fun at my poor attempt to be a poet.

Here we go.

Lessons In Love

If love is suppossed to feel so good
Then why do I feel this way?
If love is suppossed to heal the heart
Then why is it causing me pain?
If love is suppossed to make one happy
Then tell me why I frown?
If love is suppossed to uplift the spirit
Then why am I feeling down?
If love is suppossed to satisfy?
Then why do I long for more?
If love is suppossed to make one smile
Then what am i crying for?
If love is suppossed to last forever
Then why are we falling apart?
If love is suppossed to be beneficial
Then why is it breaking my heart?
If love is suppossed to make one better
Then why do I feel worse?
If love is suppossed to feel so good
Then tell me why love hurts?

Sunny Days

The pouring rain has come to an end
And the sky is turning blue
The clouds have moved and the sun is shining
All because of you.
You've brought a certain sparkle
To this life of mine
And now I hold a love for you
That will stand the test of time.
You've been such a good friend to me
I still can't believe it's true
That God had brought a gift for me
That wonderful gift is you.
But I know that I must let you go
Though it is sadly breaking my heart
But know that I will always love you
Even when we're apart.
So the sun will keep on shining
Even when you're away
Because your soul has become a part of me
So I look forward to sunny days.

I never thought that I would fall in love
With someone as special as you
For you are my shooting star
Making all my dreams come true

Nothing can describe the love
That you bring to me each day
For you have captured my heart
In you very own special way

You shower me with your exquisite love
And please me with your delightful charm
You cover me with soft, tender kisses
And enfold me in your loving arms

Promise me that you'll always be mine
And never fall to someone else
Because you know my love will always be
The greatest thing you've ever felt

No one else can love you like I do
Because my love is beyond compare
For nothing can be better
Than this treasured love that we share

Daggers In Your Smile

Across the room, I see you smiling at me
My stomach churns as I turn away disgustedly
Behind that smile there lies a frown
Where cruel intentions can be found
I will not fall for your stupid game
And I won't allow you to cause me pain
I long to fall out of your gaze
So wipe that foolish smirk off your face
Deep down I know who you really are
And that your heart is as black as tar
Inside I know that you are wicked and vile
And I am aware of the daggers in your smile

An Unforgettable Love

Alone I sit in solitude
Reminiscing on our past
Of a love that was so special
A love that failed to last

I look back on all the memories
That you and I had shared
Moments that can never be forgotten
But, sadly, are no longer there

Unfortunate is its end
But maybe it was for the best
However, there's one more thing I ask of you
Please follow this last request

Please don't forget the love we once shared
Keep it close to your heart
Remember me when we're together
And even more when we're apart

My very first true love
That is who you are
And I will always love you
More than anyone else by far

Set Me Free

I think I'd like to
Because I've never met anyone as thoughtful as you.
Every word that escapes your precious lips
Carries a thought provoking abyss.

I've engaged in your contemplations and pondered your intelligence,
And for you I've developed a longing dependence,
Desiring your love and warmth to surround me
And for your guidance to escape the world of falsity around me.

I desire the ability to perceive the world as you do,
In order to live a life of integrity, honesty, and truth.
The path I am following will only lead to my spiritual fatality.
Only your spring of knowledge can guide me to complete tranquility.

For so long have I dealt with trials and tribulations,
Suffering from pain leading to my heart's incarceration.
I no longer want to cope, only you can set me free.
Teach me to spread my wings and to fly into boundless liberty.

I long to live joyously without hesitation,
Free of corruption, dishonesty, and trepidation.
Only your spirit can lead me to this perfection,
Providing me with instruction, wisdom, and protection.
