Baseball Div, Should I code it? Options

I've been wanting to do a baseball div for awhile now, and I finally started on it. It's not my typical style, so I'd like to know what I can add, change, etc. Here's the image:

(It's a bit huge, so it might take awhile to load. I'll slice it when/if I decide to code it.)

I'm planning on adding the navigation and myspace music player to the navy blue space under the player. The white box at the top is just there to represent where the ad would be.

Bonus points if you can tell who the player is. He's not my favorite or on my favorite team, but the picture was exactly what I was looking for.
