as i look back into the years
i see you as a part of my past
over you, i shed so many tears
because our relationship didnt last
but now that i grew stronger
ive managed to move on
tears of you are shed no longer
all thoughts of you are gone
i never opened my eyes to see
the face that you were using me
everything ended up being a lie.
the other day when i saw your face
i was overwhelmed with fear
it brought me back to the time and place
when you raised your hand across my face
although you showed no shame
in everything that you have done
i no longer hold a place in your game
for in my mind, ive won
ive learned to live without you
your just a part of my past
that will never again get me blue
because i have someone new.
