desperate, positioning is driving me nuts Options

I've got my layout made and everything put together. However I want to put a marquee on my xanga but I want to position it on the far right side of the page. But when I try to add a div layer it just pushes my whole blog down below the background.

Here's my code and I have tried putting my div layer EVERYWHERE.. but nothing seems to be working. I'm new at this so perhaps you guys could tell me what I'm doing wrong? (The marquee code is the last code at the bottom)

If you look you'll see that this person's marquee is nicely positioned on the left side.. that's what I want to do!

PS. I believe the example I gave is the xanga of one of the members on Create a blog. I hope she doesn't mind me using her xanga as an example!
