If you really must know how I feel about Will Smith...

I have a tremendous amount of respect for him as a music artist over anything else. He's a well rounded and talented entertainer, but his skills as an MC have always been overshadowed by his pursuits in acting/comedy.

Be not mistakened, just because he's respectful enough not to talk about anything thats remotely offensive, doesn't mean he lacks skill. And if he can continue to put out platinum albums that are well produced (shoutout to DJ Jazzy Jeff!!!), and still have substantial content, then he's alright in my book.

You won't meet many people from West Philly that can make it out of that life and be such a positive light in the Black Community, as well as the music industry.

Which pretty much sums it all up.

I've been listening and downloading a lot of Will's tunes recently and I'd actually forgotten how good he is. Even though predominantly an actor, he's one talented musician too.
