I can't seem to get the default drop down form to style correctly.

I am trying to get the display window and drop down to display black, with white text. I've looked all over the net trying to find how to do this, no luck. If I were doing it for a hand written page, I'd be ok. But doing it for the pre-existing myspace drop down window...I'm mystified.
