A Couple of Questions, URL Box, One Column, & Details Options

Hey, I was wondering if anyone could help me with a couple things.

One, how do i get rid of the URL Box completely? I found the code for it, but all it did was erase the info inside, but the box is still there. Originally I still had my contact box and i guess the URL box was hidden under there. But now I got rid of the contact box and now the blank URL box is displaying. How do I get rid of it completely?

Two, I found the code for the alignment of the boxes on top one of another (single column), but when i inputted, the results when i view my profile is that the boxes on the left side show, while the boxes on the right side (aboutme, friends, comments) are not appearing. am i doing something wrong?

Three, i believe someone has asked this, but it wasn't answered completely?
I want to get rid of the details and interests box, but to get rid of details i have to input the code into heroes (under interests). someone had replied to this person's question by mentioning that it might be possible to get rid of both if the blog and extended network is also removed. how do i get rid of it then?
