Background Only shows on left and right sides, default myspace white profile area covers most of page Options

Hi gang...

A new myspace user here. I'm trying to place a background on my page, but it only shows on the left and right sides, while the default generic white profile area of myspace still remains on most of my page. How can I get my background to cover the entire page?

Here's the code that I found a website:

Also, any code that I copy from background/layout sites seem to do the same thing. The white default profile area dominates the page, with the background I want to upload only showing minimally on the left and rights sides of the page.

I paste the codes in the "About Me" section of the profile editing area, but it still doesn't work.

Can anyone please help?
