linking, wont work Options

im trying to add a link to my myspace from my xanga (and vise versa) and it wont work. when you click on it, it seems like xanga (and myspace) change the adress. for example, i would put in the following link at my myspace:

"www.xanga.com/URLHERE"

but when you click on the link, the browers would say

"www.myspace.com/www.xanga.com/URLHERE?"

and vise versa when i put a link to my myspace on my xanga. this is the code that i'm using to make the link (oh, and the simple original code to make a link won't work either.)
