images next to each other Options

okay i've read EVERY SINGLE help requests and i couldnt find any explaination about what was wrong with my code. so yeah i have banners and i would like to have 2lines of 2banners. here's what i have:

i cant figure out why the images are under each others. i tried to remove the <CENTER> but it didnt change anything, and i dont have any <br> so i really dont understand.

i'd like to have something like that:
BANNER1BANNER2
BANNER3BANNER4


any help would be appreciated :)
