Transparency in main image wont show/remove table Options

I have 2 problems:

1)

This is my maing image for my layout:

As you can see, it's supposed to be transparent.

However, in IE, it's not.

How can I fix this problem?

2) You can see that my profile pic is still showing. Where it says "Rawr" then a picture underneath. How can I remove this?
