here's the link to my xanga site
Problem: The splash screen has text on the right side of the image. However, upon clicking the splash screen eerything else is normal. Now I know how to get rid of this through adding this code in the splash screen script *Added code is in Bold.: QUOTE <script type='text/javascript'> var image = 'http://img488.imageshack.us/img488/9325/splash3ob.jpg'; function enterSite( ) { document.getElementById('splash').style.display = 'none'; var content = document.getElementsByTagName("center"); for (var i=0; i<content.length;i++) { content[i].style.display = 'block'; } return false; } if (document.title.slice(-10) == 'Xanga Site') { document.write('</span></center><style type="text/css"> center {display:none;} .image {border:0px solid #dcdcdc;} </style><table height="100%" width="100%" id="splash"><tr><td align="center" valign="middle" style="text-align:center !important;"><a href="#" onclick="return enterSite();"><img src="'+ image +'" border="0" class="image"></a></td></tr></table><center><span>'); } </script> With that added, the splash screen returns to normal. Now the other problem that comes with it: Upon clicking the splash screen I come upon to my normal xanga, with only one problem. The actual blog has been shifted to the right, and I cant change its position no matter what coordinates I placed. The space that was produced wasnt because of the left module (All extra modules removed) Image of after the <center> code was added Now the image is centered as it is supposed to be, and I need your help to get rid of the ugly space that pushes the blog to the right. QUOTE <center><IMG SRC="http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/2628/layout10gv.gif" border=0 width=800 height=600 USEMAP='#imgmap'></center> Thanks for helping me out! NOTE - Currently my xanga contains the <center> code added and with the other codes you have seen Plus a </center> before the other <center> appeared before the image source. Yyou should see text appearing on the splash screen. |
