CD/RW Drive, not loading |

My cd burner was working fine until about a week ago when it just stopped...showing up...It wont show up as a list of drives, but when I went back and did a system restore, it came up, but went away after I shutdown my computer. Now my computer wont even let me do a system restore :( Why would the cd burner just stop showing up? Is there a way to fix this?
