wrote this a not too long ago. took some time to perfect it to how i wanted it, but now i'm finished.


Peace In Heaven

Call me Angel, I’m alone
Light the tunnel, I’m heading home
A flash of life, an unseen end
And I’ve finally found peace once again

I see the light and I’m home
And walk the alleys. I’m not coming back
You play the games we used to play
A lifetime of changes we could have made

The traffic’s louder this rush hour
The sun’s as bright as an ocean flame
The swings and sunset, these moments our last
And I touch your heart as I pass by

Steady beating, a warm feeling
The kind of warmth your smile made
The kind that after a lifetime wouldn’t fade
And I’ve found peace once again

As I pass you feel the chill
And remember the memories we loved to make
And the photographs we loved to take
Our memories were our sanctums

I see the shadows, no one’s home
And miss the world, I’ll never return
The view’s so beautiful from up above
If I could only show you what I see now

Time will fade, and eventually you’ll pass
And rise to heaven because you tread the world
Like the angels up here, and you don’t need wings
And I’ve found peace once again

As I go, far away
You feel that warmth our two hearts made
The pain is great, but you’re strong
And you don’t know where you went wrong

Can’t turn back, it’s now too late
Our pleasant intentions were stolen by fate
Now I reach, for the light
See the world, as I take flight

Now you see what isn’t there

But I still hope to feel love again
And I’ve found peace once again
