OMG! My dad is so OVERPROTECTIVE! What should I do?? At this rate I'll NEVER get a boyfriend
 ! I have a friend, who I've known forever, recently he told me that he liked me, I like him too, but my dad doesn't like his family. And plus I'm kinda not allowed to speak, see or even IM him. Bummer, I know. When I was little my dad used to make me ALWAYS Recite "No boyfriends forever and ever" I always thought it was a joke, until he began to take it seriously, it's soooo effin embarrassing!  I wanna be all "Get off my back" to him becuse he ALWAYS has to remind me that his family isn't as high up in the socials. My mom thinks he's cute and well-mannered, from all the times he was at my house. (while my dad was away) What should I do?

I know how you feel....Unfortunetly both of My mom and Dad are rili overprotective(because most of my frens are guys).
But Right now My dad and mom is not OVERprotective anymore because I have their trust and they have mine.If i have a boyfriend.I always keep a secret from them like acting as only nothing but friends whenever I'm with my bf.That's the safest way. I think your Dad just loves and worry about you too much.But You're old enough to take k of yourself rite?So My advice is gained their trust first. |
