freecycle.org anyone?, Got my first freebie today!!! =o] Options

So my friend told me about http://freecycle.org a couple months ago. Basically, it's a website where you post stuff that you don't want anymore or stuff that you want to offer. And people from your area can come pick it up. Also you can post a request for something. But EVERYTHING is FREE! The most common things I see people give away are their TV, furnitures, pets, clothes... almost anything. Usually I'm too slow and someone else gets something that I wanted. But not tonight baby! I'm subscribed to the posts in my area and luckily I was on the comp when I received an offer for a cordless optical mouse. Now I need a new mouse baddd.. since my current one had recently gone retarded. Now she said that the mouse works perfectly but she hates it because it eats up her batteries and she doesn't have rechargeable batteries. But I do. So I responded right away and said, "You give me mouse now! Me want! Me take! Give pick-up addy!" Well I said something like that. So since http://freecycle.org is on kinda like a first come first serve basis, she let me have it! I was all excited about it since I never won an offer before.. out of like 5 things I wanted. Anyway, she gave me her address and told me that she'll leave it out on the porch and I can come pick it up anytime today. I went to get it with my bf. And now I'm stroking that mouse.. mmm hmm that baby is mine and it works so good!

That sounds awesome! But... a pet? Why do they want to give away their pets? Well baby pets are okay I think... thanks for the site! I'll try and check it out!

^ Yea there's a lot of pets on that site. Many are babies.. some aren't. And some are rescued animals looking for a home.

I'm going to collect some ferrets. Or try. lol, pretty cool though.

^ Hah, yea I was thinking of getting stuff to sell it on eBay. And I'm sure a lot of ppl do that already, but the concept of Freecycle was to keep trash out off the landfills and to help ppl in need. I'd feel bad to take something away from someone who really needs it.. and sell it on eBay. But then ur still helping if you sell on eBay.. lol.. so whatever floats ur boat.
