How do u reboot ur computer and clear up your whole hard drive? my dad once did that..because there was a virus..and after he rebooted the whole comp..there were NO PROGRAMS in my user account. none. they all got removed. except IE. how do u reboot ur whole comp like as it was when u first started it?

the computer term to start from scratch is "Reformat".
I would recommend System Restore since if their is a virus, it can just pass to the files you restored. To completely remove the virus and to start from scratch, I would do a reformat which means you need to start your computer using a bootup floppy disk. Then you need to reformat (delete everything on your harddrive) then install your windows from windows cd. |
