friendships and love, they just dont go together Options

this is all so stressing..

ive got a friend. we hang out alot and stuff. we met like at the beggining of this school year. and then at around november, he started liking me. he knows that ive got a boyfriend back in indonesia tho. so he tried not liking me. and then thinking he was over it, we continued hanging out. and then a few days ago, he sent me a letter. telling me he 'loved' me and that he wont give up on me and he'd wait. and then yesterday. we were talking and i told him to try and go like someone else. today he started ignoring me. wouldnt talk to me at all. he told me that this was how he'd try to get over me. but thing is, i like him as a friend. im close to him. and i miss talking to him.

i want everything back to normal.

what am i going to do..

The big question is... do you have even a tiny hint of love (or liking) for him? As in like-like. lol Just wondering.

I agree that telling him to move on isn't the best thing to do. Tell him that you still want him as a friend.. Perhaps deep down he really does love you? Love doesn't come and go so easily. Although, lust does. Tell him that right now, you just want him as a good friend of yours, that you already have someone (your boyfriend in indonesia) you care a lot more about. Tell him sincerely that you don't know what the future might bring, but for now you just want him to be your friend.

My current boyfriend of 2 years and 2 months asked me out back in November 2002 and at first I rejected him. He ignored me for about a week.. I couldn't stand it.. I really don't know why. We weren't even that close, yet I couldn't stand the fact that everyday I would see him and he'd look away. The fact that he wouldn't talk to me because I said no.. It made me realize that deep down, I did like-like him deep down, despite my thoughts on focusing education more and not wanting to have a boyfriend at all. It made me realize that he meant something to me. Afterwards, I asked him if he liked me a lot, and I thought I'd give him a chance. :] I'm SO GLAD that he still wanted to date and that we're together.

I know you have a boyfriend in Indonesia and all, but maybe my story can teach you something... maybe not. Good luck
