Running is a sport, am I correct?
Okay, I have to run the mile every Thursday for P.E.. I always get really bad times (from 12:30 - 14:00). It's because whenever I'm running, my sides, shoulders, AND throat start to hurt. I'm always so far behind everyone else. Is there any way of preventing these aches? My friend runs the mile like it's nothing. Her sides never hurt or anything. She runs the whole way. I want to be able to do that so bad! |

Running is a sport. but you can't expect to excel at it by just running the mile in PE! if you really wanna shorten ur time and run the mile like it's nothing and get around 6 minutes in a mile, then you need to work at it. Run everyday before and after school, stretch, drink plenty of water. Start off small, like 1/4 mile a day for a week, and then the next week 1/2 a mile..the week after a 3/4 of a mile and so on...until you can start running a couple of miles at one time without stopping. at first it seems hard, but it really isn't. it's actually kinda relaxing. mostly it's mind over matter and pusing urself to the limit. I know you can do it
