In movies and tv shows I always see groups like the popular people, the nerds and all those other groups. Nerds being made fun of by the popular people like the jocks and crap. Then you know there are punk-rockers and things that are sometimes considered freaks and stuff... well yeah

I was just wondering if its like that in your school because in my school its not...

Everybody is cool with eachother. The so-called geeks and nerds hang out with the jocks and preppy people. There is no one group, everybody hangs out with everybody. Everyone respects each other, there are the occasional people who think they are better then everyone else but they eventually just fall into the group.

Hmm... I guess I'll make a list as well. I created this list from my own perspective of each of the "cliques" at my school. I did not steal anyone else's ideas or anything.

• "Preppy popular groups" usually consists of mostly white/caucasian and the occasion Asian, black, maybe even Mexican person. I'm not being racist or anything. Just that the preppy white girls tend to look at me wierd. Most of them are athletes/jocks, ASB members, and/or hold any other leadership position. A few are really intelligent and are those preppy academic people. Others try to live up to that. Things can become very competitive. They migrate around.. usually on the benches, under the patio, near the ASB store. They are NEVER in the cafeteria. It's too "uncool" for them to be in the cafeteria. There are a few of these groups. All the people combined under this group are friends though, nonetheless.
• "Asian groups" consist of mostly Asian and a few non-Asians. They tend to band together and sit at the same spot. There are a few of these groups. There are people who leave the group and migrate to other Asian groups, but there's always one person at least that stay at the spot.At least 1/3 them are in Badminton..
• "Punk + Metal Rock addicts" tend to sit near each other and dress alike. Not exactly alike, but at my school, they tend to match. This is NOT to be confused with emo. Emo has a different group.
• "Emos" and the occasional druggie don't hang out all together. They tend to be split up, but sometimes they blend into other groups. They almost always wear the same thing as "emos."
• "The Outcasts" either form their own group and sit in the same spot, or they sit all alone. There's various kind of outcast groups. They either don't fit in the above categories or they don't give a rat's ass about any other group. They just go to school because they are forced to. There's not much to say about this group.
• "The whatever people" Are somewhat like outcasts, but have friends, regardless of who they hang out with. They can easily sliop into any group and can conversate with various groups, or just a selected few. No one hates them. They're just there. Some of the groups of "whatever people" tend to hang around the same spot. They're just there, hang out, have fun. Some could be athletes, academic nerds, etc. It just depends. They can easily mingle with other groups, only because they have something common with all other groups.
• The "Nerds" tend to sit alone or have a few other "nerds" with them. There's different groups of Nerds. They sit around where ever they can. They try to stay in classrooms most of the time since they only cae about school or they don't know where else to hang out. They can be any race. They almost never band together only because they are shy.
• The "Geeks." Not to be confused as Nerds, they are quite different. Although they might stay in classrooms and libraries whenever they can. Geeks tend to be a little more respected... It's hard to describe. They are very intelligent and something about them is appealing to other groups.
• The "Gothics" sometimes conversate with the Punk + Metak Rocker groups. They tend to be somewhat of outcasts; they dress in black and wear black make-up and people tend to consider them as outcasts and "wierd." Not much is known about them at our school, since there are a selected few who are "Goths." Sometimes they can mingle with Nerds or outcasts.

I belong in the "whatever people" group. I personally don't give a rat's ass about the school, but I hang with my boyfriend and friends. Maybe I'm somewhat of an outcast, maybe not. I focus on education and yea. I'm not really into the whole high school drama. I used to be in an Asian group. USED to..
