DS or PSP Options

hi! the DS is so cool! i want to get that one... but i also want to get the PSP! They got awesome games on them!

What will the battery time be?
4-5 hours for Video watching through UMD.
4-6 hours average for gameplay through UMD.
4 hours with headphones and 50% volume, no WIFI and highest screen brightness (180 cd/m2).
6 hours with headphones and 50% volume, no WIFI and lowest screen brightness (80 cd/m2).

I heard that, if you buy the movie, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children for PSP, while you are watching it, the battery life will cut off the movie just as soon as it gets low. That's what I read at the gamefaqs.com FFVII:AC boards last year. I don't know how long the movie will be (I heard it's at least less than 2 hours), so that might not be true.


I really haven't found any games I like so far in the PSP, and I can wait for FFVII:AC to come out in DVD anyway. So my choice goes to the DS. After all, I totally miss playing Super Mario 64 for the N64, so my only chances of being able to play the DS version on the DS. I think the only game on the PSP that caught my attention is that Metal Gear Solid game, but it's exactly like the first one, just like Twin Snakes. So I prefer DS.

Oh really? I think you're wrong. From what I read it never mentioned that.
It's called "Metal Gear Ac!d" and Hideo from what I read in an interview never mentioned it was some stupid card game. The screenshots look exactly like Metal Gear Solid/Twin Snakes. Are you mistaking that for Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories?




I obviously don't see a card system in this screenshot. I'll wait until I hear it directly from Hideo then I'll believe it. KTHXBYE!

Now before I do this, Id just like to say that maybe this isnt done by Hideo, but its pretty damned accurate.

When we have decided to create a "METAL GEAR" game for the PSP, we thought of the following:
It should be a game that works best as a game for a portable game system.
Additionally, it should be a new game for the new system.

The new form of "METAL GEAR" we are presenting you is a "METAL GEAR that is not an action game".
The new element making this possible is "cards".
Using cards means the player must "customize" his/her abilities and strategies.
Cards = the player's weapon + abilities.
in "METAL GEAR ACID", the player "edits" his/her weapons and abilities to fight in a way best fitting that particular level.

The player's mission is still that of infiltration. Unique characters appear in a grand, original story.
While methods of expression differ, this still is "METAL GEAR".

The fusion of the well-known "METAL GEAR" series and totally new gameplay --
"METAL GEAR ACID" is a title completely different from the "METAL GEAR SOLID" series.
