But that doesn't mean anything
Nothing is like it used to be
Everything is drifting away

You tell me it will all be alright
That everything will turn out ok
And it will all be happy in the end
But I don't believe you

You say that you have
Experienced everything possible
And you know how it will end
But you aren't anywhere close

You say not to be sad
But I'm not sad
Sad is a wasted emotion
I'm just not there, like a ghost

You say that you know how it feels
But thats a lie
You don't know how it feels to not feel anymore
To be completely numb

You dont know how it feels
To see the person that you
Gave your heart and soul to
Floating lifeless in a lake

You dont know what its like
To see your best friend
The person that you are closest to
Hanging limp from a rafter

You say it will all be perfect
That everything turns out all right in the end
That all these horrible emotions will fade
But you lied

It's beautiful, excellent word choice. You paint a somber and almost morbid picture, which makes me like it even more.

&not to intrude but have the events that you talk about in your poem actually happened?.. Don't feel inclined to tell me, after all I'm only a lowly newbie with 100 posts to her name . Take care
