Running is a sport, am I correct?
Okay, I have to run the mile every Thursday for P.E.. I always get really bad times (from 12:30 - 14:00). It's because whenever I'm running, my sides, shoulders, AND throat start to hurt. I'm always so far behind everyone else. Is there any way of preventing these aches? My friend runs the mile like it's nothing. Her sides never hurt or anything. She runs the whole way. I want to be able to do that so bad! |

It all has to do with how good shape you are in. I am on my tennis team at my school and the first day we had to run 2 miles around all the courts. My side was hurting so bad I didn't even get halfway through the first mile.
![]() ![]() The better shape you are in, the less you will hurt. Just keep practicing! Take it slower. ![]() And also, dont eat before you run. A little water will do the trick but not too much. And when you get done running, don't drink too much water either, because usually you can get sick to your stomach.. |
