 ok i made a backgound and i went to put it on my xanga now i put it at the begining off my style sheet where it says scroll bar then goes to thae background things..anyways i put the link and wen i previewed it but it was the same!does anyone know what i did wrong or if i`m missing something?

can you post your css code and a link to your xanga? is the background supposed to fill the whole screen? if so why don't you just paste the link in the background url space under look and feel?
