She won't let me go to the dance because i got a note from my teacher in the mail (that is about 1 week old) saying that i got a F for my homework grade and a D- for my test grade. I really want to go to the dance..but...i can't.

I also agree with the other two. Think about it for a minute. If you had a song failed a class, would you let him go out, party, and/or go to dances? Or would you ground them? Yea, promise you'll do better next time. Be lucky you won't get beat. For an D or an F on my grades I'd probably get beat..
