This year, Time Magazine has chosen President Bush as "Person of the Year."
Do you feel he deserves that title? Why or why not? Their articles about him pose an excellent argument, but I still would like to hear your opinions. I personally am appalled, but that's just me. Sorry about the big mess-up on the name. it was supposed to be president, not 'persident.' Dang, I've edited this post 4 times in a row! |

Bush is a fine president. Of course he's not perfect, have we EVER had a perfect president? just because you're president doesnt mean you are suddenly ... perfect! You seem to be forgetting that half of AMERICA voted for Bush...he's not a dictator.
And about the war.... Iraq is a way better place than it was before (At least 182,000 Kurds in Iraq were murdered or are missing and presumed dead. Authorities on Iraq estimate that 1.3 million people have died as a direct result of Saddam Hussein’s acts of terror since 1979, the year he bullied his way into office.) You'll also find that most of our troops are not sitting in Iraq grousing....they need us to support them, not diss the cause they're giving their lives for. |

You'll also find that most of our troops are not sitting in Iraq grousing....they need us to support them, not diss the cause they're giving their lives for. yeah...no president is perfect...but bush can't even admit that he was WRONG about assuming there were weapons of mass destruction in iraq. if u cant face the truth and realize that what's good for our country is more important than your ego...or finishing what your father started...then you'll be a good candidate for president. half of america voted for bush...yeah that's because people in the south / mid-west were the people that mostly backed him up. they believe in war solving all the problems in the world. maybe if they actually knew anything about anything, then they would've changed their minds. a lot of people support people because " oh well he's from my hometown " or " he's from my state "...which is completely irrelevent and stupid. and yes, iraq IS a better place now. yes...we DID capture saddam hussein [yay for bush and his father ... u finally finished what you started ] and yet they still have yet to capture OSAMA BIN LADEN [ let me remind you, that he was the one that ATTACKED US ON 9/11. ] wasnt that the main reason y we went into the mid east in the first place? i must also inform you that half of the americans believe that saddam hussein was the one that attacked us on 9/11. thank the government and administration for that....but they DONT tell us half of the things that are REALLY going on in iraq. i remember someone posting the pictures of the soldiers "that nobody ever sees". its funny because those are only a few instances where the soldiers were sensitive and not heartless. most of them enjoy killing people because all iraqis are "bad people". do u truly believe that the soldiers in iraq are just killing the "bad guy terrorists" and coming home after a job well done? uh, NO! civilians..women and innocent children are being killed everyday for no reason. and about the whole iraq government. yeah, i ahve some issues with that too. we shouldnt be enforcing our way of democratic republic government on these people. who are we to say that our government is superior over the rest? WE DON'T OWN THEIR COUNTRY. Bush IS a dictator...and people think "hoo ha for bush, hes killin the terrorists in the middle east". yeah thats happening...but they don't show u the disgusting and horrible things that they do wen nobody's watching. oh, and im also guessing that all of you are rich upper-class americans that are thrilled that your parents got a tax cut while the middle/lower class citizens didnt ![]() |
