ok, dance team tryouts are coming up. Before I ask my question,let me explain:
What they are going to do is teach us a dance, and we are gonna get in groups of 3 & perform it, and then the jusdges choose. I'm planning to sign up, and Have wanted to be on dance team since I was in 2nd grade. So my question is: Do you have any ideas on how I can prepare for tryouts before they come? |

okay iwhen i tried out for my cheerleading tryouts, it was basically the same. i say that b4 the try-outs that u gotta stretch every day and nite, because as a dnacer, u gotta be flexible. go over your basic dance moves, like leaps, turns, and all that stuff that u dancers do. work out; do cardio, strength training, but not too much since u wanna be in tip-top shape at try-outs, not tired! the nite b4, don't go out, eat a gooood dinner and get a good nite's sleep (even if the try-outs are the next nite, or even the part when u learn the dance). so when u wake up u won't be tired and u'll be able to focus better. at try-outs: listen to the instructor and give it all u got. the people who chose the dancers ARE lookin at u. keep your head up and give it your best posture. dance your heart out and give 110%! never give up. u should do fine. kick ass!
