due to my earlier knowledge, the term "chink" was supposed to be a disrespectful way of calling chinese people. but somehow it became an usual word that some chinese kids call themselves today. i don't see a lot of koreans going around calling themselve "gook, or hispanic people calling themselve "spic". black people also get offended when u use the word "nigger" in front of them. i don't understand y would people use a racial slur to describe their own nationality.

i think its pretty stupid&hypercritocal [sp?].
all i have to say is that if your gonna use a term that is offensive to your OWN race (such as .. chnk\ngr\crkr\spc no matter which way you mean to use it .. then use it, but dont get mad about it when someone else uses it against you-to you-around you, cos to be using racist slurs like that about your own race is like agreeing negatively about your own people. try an recognize. its not a freaking "trend" its offensive mann .. & im not even chinese, black, hispanic, or white, im a flip and iono what were considered as [labeled offensively] but wouldnt you agree i mean cmon.
