AnandTech's Article

On a certain type of DFI Lanparty motherboards with the nForce4 Ultra chipset, it's possible to modify the board (easily, i might add) to make it essentially an SLI board, and for much cheaper too. It makes for near-SLI performance for a fraction of the price. Great for budget powergamers who want SLI but don't have the money for it.

I read that article, supposed to get about 90% the performance of true SLi or something. There was also something in their article on the consumer electronics show or expo or whatever it's called where there was a mobo that could support two different cards in tandum. Now that's pretty cool.
