ok im real mad. ya see, this idiotic guy f&*(()*ed up the puter and everything is restored to the way it was wen we first got the puter... alll our stuff are gone...favorites, music, pictures, everything. and man am i mad.. i tried system restore but it says "no changes have been made" to the puter so it won't restore.. is there any way in heck to git the stuff back. im not one to cuss but im really &*(!!!! mad

You can abriviate and say puter, it's perfectly fine, I use it sometimes myself. Anways what probably happened was that windows was reinstalled as such, your harddrive has been formated and everything is gone. Of course you can plop down money to try and restore the data but that's gonna cost you and it isn't necessarily going to restore everything. That would be data recovery and formating is supposed to wipe everything out but stuff leave imprints on the harddrive so you CAN recover stuff, but it's difficult and you need special software, that said you're basically screwed.
