i just recently heard the song "i'm a fake" by the used and i can honestly say that it was the stupidest, most degratible song ever. all it is is about cutting. i needed to write a counter song for it. cutting is beyond stupid.
A CRY FOR CONFORMITY I am so stressed out Because of what Becky said What should I do now? Bert says I should flirt with death My arms covered in medals About how my life’s so hard A flower without petals Acceptance with a scar I dwell on drama instead of Things that really matter I need a reminder of how bad Things can be once I get better There are forces taking away my rights But I’d rather worry for something I’ll forget about In a matter of minutes I want to fit in, and smart kids stand out I’m only fifteen, but I Know this is what I have to do I need to scar myself over What won’t matter in a year or two And I’ll push away those friends that tell me What I’m doing is wrong Only to realize that, in the end They cared about me all along I dwell on drama instead of Things that really matter I need a reminder of how bad Things can be once I get better There are forces taking away my rights But I’d rather worry for something I’ll forget about In a matter of minutes I want to fit in, and smart kids stand out Well I’m too scared to try to change the world So I depend on teenage angst And when it gets too much for me I do what’s cool and lacerate My arms covered in medals About how my life’s so hard A flower without petals Acceptance with a scar I dwell on drama instead of Things that really matter I need a reminder of how bad Things can be once I get better I don’t care about the long run All I care is what I see I don’t want any help This is a cry for conformity |
