due to my earlier knowledge, the term "chink" was supposed to be a disrespectful way of calling chinese people. but somehow it became an usual word that some chinese kids call themselves today. i don't see a lot of koreans going around calling themselve "gook, or hispanic people calling themselve "spic". black people also get offended when u use the word "nigger" in front of them. i don't understand y would people use a racial slur to describe their own nationality.

i don't know why people do that either. if i were black, i would probably not want to refer me or my friends as niggers because that seems weird. and i don't know why people get mad when others call them niggers when they were just saying it!
