This may be a reaaaally dumb question.. but what's the point of grounding a child?
You know they'll never listen. [Some kids, like me] And you just ground them like it's a game. O__O Some kids don't even behave after their parents ground them. |

Last week at cadets we learned about discipline, interesting actually. Discipline should be used with connection to whatever the person did wrong. So if the kid stayed out all nite when he shouldn't have, or she has bad grades because she parties too much, then grounding would be a proper form of discipline. If the kid didn't do the dishes, then grounding is inappropriate. Some parents just use it to excercise their power over their kids
