Okay, so I am not trying to be racist or anything, but who here agrees with me that the black people are getting way more recognition than the whites?
Now we have black history month, black activists month, and negro colleges/college funds? This is just not fair. Everyone believes that if we have a white history month then we will be racist? We aren't. Blacks are getting everything nowadays and if the white people try to put say into anything, it gets shoved back in our face as a racist comment. I love black history and everything, but I have pride in being white and we get no recognition whatsoever? Does anyone agree with me.. And please don't say I am being racist. I live in the South for God's sake. |

Everyone sits there and tells each other that black history is good, black history is bad, why don't we have white history, Affirmitive action this and affirmitive action that. Many of you need to start reading and find out the true meaning of Black History Month, Hispanic History Month, or Asian History Month.
As I quote from many of you "NOT TO SOUND RACIST OR ANYTHING"... How do you white people know how it is to be a minority? How do you know what we go through everyday? Sure our lives maybe almost the same but its not. Racist people don't bother me, but it still happens everyday. I still can walk into a restaurant these days and get the most evil looks from the workers and the people in the restaurant. Though many of you try to ignore the fact that racism isn't alive it is, just go to your local newspaper and read!!! I bet you will find something in there that has to deal with racism. If you don't believe in Black History Month and crap then don't Celebrate it, thats why we as Americans have choices. You have the choice to believe in what you want. So you choosing not to believe in Black History Month is your choice. QUOTE 2) name an important figure in america's history that was asian. nothing against asians, but maybe if this was asia, there'd be more about asia. of course that's the highlight of our history studies of asia, we didn't do much else with them. To this person...here are your asian americans that made a difference ![]() Dalip Singh Saund made history in 1956 when he became the first Asian elected to Congress. ![]() Did we forget that over 12,000 Chinese helped built the American railroads helping to connect west coast and east coast. ![]() Steven Chu won Noble Peace Prize in Physics, and also created an instrument to measure gravity. ![]() And what about this man.. Jerry Yang... Also one of the creators of what many of you use everyday.. WWW.YAHOO.COM... So please if you have something to say in here please don't try to sound ignorant, please research!!! |

Okay, to sadolakced acid, I'm sure the points aren't as substantial an amount as that. It's probably only a quarter of a point. And if your situation was really like that, the Black girl wouldn't have gotten hired, even with her extra points because of the high difference in overall score. Race and gender are a factor, but it's not everything.

I love you for pointing this out. you are wrong. when you apply to the university of michiagan, you get more points for being black than getting a perfect score on your SATs, even if you got a 1000 on your SATs. |
