due to my earlier knowledge, the term "chink" was supposed to be a disrespectful way of calling chinese people. but somehow it became an usual word that some chinese kids call themselves today. i don't see a lot of koreans going around calling themselve "gook, or hispanic people calling themselve "spic". black people also get offended when u use the word "nigger" in front of them. i don't understand y would people use a racial slur to describe their own nationality.

Im chinese and I use the work "chink". It sounds cool and people take it as a joke. Never seriously.
Its like calling someone "bitch" but not meaning it. I dont know if any of you do it, but people can take offensive language and change it into a joke |
