I'm not good at figuring out what quotes mean. And I need to write an essay for one quote. Okay, here are the quotes:

1. "People only see what they are prepared to see."

2. "What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say."

3. "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."

I just need to know what the quotes mean. If you can help, I appreciate it a lot. Thank you.

if you deal with the pain and endure it now, it will become a painless habit in the future. just like if you're always cold and you hate being cold, but you moved to boston or something, you'll build up a tolerance for the cold eventually, and when you go to like florida you'll be realllly warm. yeah..strange analogy, i know =P

4. "I dreamed a thousand new paths...I woke and walked my old one."

right now you might be complaining about your old path, or your life right now,and so you dream of many things that might never happen to you: you get rich and famous, etc. but in the end you'll miss your old life because you're used to it, and you'll go back to it and be satisfied with what you have.

9. The best way to cheer yourself up is to cheer somebody else up."

you care a lot about others and when someone else suffers, so do you, and when someone is happy, you are happy for them because you care about them. i don't know..haha.
