White history month?, racism Options

Okay, so I am not trying to be racist or anything, but who here agrees with me that the black people are getting way more recognition than the whites?

Now we have black history month, black activists month, and negro colleges/college funds? This is just not fair.

Everyone believes that if we have a white history month then we will be racist? We aren't. Blacks are getting everything nowadays and if the white people try to put say into anything, it gets shoved back in our face as a racist comment.

I love black history and everything, but I have pride in being white and we get no recognition whatsoever? Does anyone agree with me..

And please don't say I am being racist. I live in the South for God's sake.

That is not the way affirmative action works. I mean, yes, race is a factor, not just Black, but Asian, Latino, Native American, but you also have to be qualified.

notice the way i said it works. it works like this:


say a black girl takes a math test. that little race bubble and sex bubble on standardized tests reveals that blacks and girls do worse at math.

so, the black girl gets 5 bonus point on her test for being black, and 5 bonus points.

she gets an 85 on her test, plus her 10 points. so it shows up as a 95.

a white male (the demographic with no benifits) also takes the test, and gets a 94.

if hiring were to be done on the test scores (like the way some college apps work, you get points for say, a 1600 on SATs and stuff and if your score passes a certain benchmark you get in) then the black girl would be chosen.

yet: the white male was better at the math test: he got a 94. the black girl got an 85. but because of affirmative action, the black girl's score was increased to 95, and then it looks like the black girl was better.

that is how affirmative action works. They declare that a certain demographic (blacks, hispanics, females, etc.) are inferior and need extra favor in order to be 'equal' to the rest of the people.

and if anyone accepts this affirmative action and takes the favor it gives, then i say:
you are inferior.
