The Lost
By: Savannah Harrison It was just another fragile heart, Drowning in the sea. Just another angel, Throwing out their broken harp. The Devil's won the battle, Mankind's evil enough. God will take to crying, Watching another failing race. This world is like a whisper, Left to die out on it's own. A masquerade of mindless drones, A house of replicas and clones. It's the bled; not the bleeding, And the streets are paved in red. We're bruised from our beating, And we think we're better off just dead. The morgues are overflowing, This town it smells of rot. Living without loving, Can't be any better than not. One more person fades, And another heart is lost... |
