Well, i noticed whenever we cook rice and leave it warmed for a day taht it starts to smell really really bad.
We've changed rice cookers, and it still does it. We think its the rice, because we buy it in big bags and keep it for months; so is it the rice that has gone bad? Does rice have an expiration date? |

^^ ahh no, sry but you're definately wrong about that.
uncooked rice (mai) can be kept for a long long time and it shouldn't go bad as long as it's kept in a dry, cool place. Get water in it and you're screwed. Cooked rice (fan) on the other hand, goes bad very easily. Cooked rice has idea conditions for bacteria to grow, and uneaten portions should be refrigerated ASAP. the bacteria that grows in cooked rice is very dangerous, and if it changes colour, you shouldn't eat it. |
