modded script not working?, suggestions anyone? Options

Basically what I tried to do was combine the two scripts while keeping both the same. I have no desire for an image on the splash screen so I removed that, and my line of thinking was that the splash screen would write in the form for the password/etc. When the form's submitted it should check, and if the encrypted password's not correct it would forward them to xanga's blocking page (my own sarcastic humor there)..... else it would continue with the second part of the splash screen script.....

But it's not loading? I have premium, have this the firstthing besides the title on my Xanga skin page, so there should be no reason why it's not loading.... I tried adding a new function to call the entire code (using onLoad in the body tag) but still nothing's working? Did i delete something out of order trying to mod the code?

The splash screen code is what's most confusing me... i have a feeling the answer to this entire thing lies within it.... but I couldn't find any explanation to it's parts or how it works.....

Please if you have any suggestions let me know, it's greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

(and yes I know, i used tables for the layout.... so shoot me :P i <3 css as well as anyone but didn't feel like taking time to do it.... site reqs a 1024x700-something resolution to look normal)

HAHA! I feel smart!

Thanks for all your help guys, however I decided just to scrap it and develop a new way of doing it. I know you can still view the source to have the entire contents of the page but the people who I'm trying to protect my entries from aren't smart enough to realize that.

If anyone's interested how I did it, basically I made the entire blog into one div with an id of "hidden" and the password/username form into a table contained in a div with id of "splash"....

script goes somewhat like this:

starts out with div id of "hidden" with a visibility property of hidden, and "splash" is visible. done with simple css command (however I have premium skin ability- don't ask me how to accomplish this otherwise, because I have no clue.... :( ) once the form is submitted it checks the user/pass combo, and if correct hides the "splash" div and shows the "hidden" div......

nifty.....

now all i gotta do is rework the positioning of it .....

however if mystical or anyone else can figure out what was wrong with my original code, i'd still like to know.... thanks a bunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
