i used to work at subway. i worked there for like a month. it was kind of a bad deal. and you people out there making 8 bucks an hour shouldnt be complaining. i was making 6.50 and i thought that was good. for those of you out there interested in going to work for subway (or possibly fast food in general), you have to be really dextrous. and not having sweaty hands is a plus too. before you make the sandwiches, you have to wash your hands. once you do that, you gotta put on those little plastic gloves. now i dont know about you, but after i dry my hands, theyre still not really dry, so putting on those gloves can be an annoying hassle. regarding the dexterity issue, peeling off those little slices of meat can be a little tedious. i think this all boils down to me not being a very fast sandwich artist. right now im persuing a job at a blockbuster near my house. i need to be applying more... really, i need to get a job because my parents laid down the line and said that i cant drive until i get one... that means there havent been many romantic excursions with my girlfriend... thats the main reason i want to get a job, so i can be with her more. and yeah, youre not gonna get paid squat for the work you do starting out. dont look at entry level jobs as get rich quick plans, but as stepping stones into the real work force. theyre more things to look good on your resume than anything else. its hard, but you just gotta be optimistic. i look at it as there is a nearly 100% chance that at some point in my life i will have a steady job. you have to think of yourself as capible of being employed and staying that way for a significant period of time. KEEP YOUR CHIN UP! BE PERSISTANT!
