just wondering... what are the chances of getting a virus from p2p like limewire , kazaa and stuff. like if your just downloading mp3s and nothing else. all my friends have been doing that and they havent got a virus. i need 2 convince my dad .. coz i recenlty downloaded limewire and he stil doesnt know wat it is.

and recently one of our spyware remover programs have deleted limewire because it is a "threat" coz ppl can dl from our comp. -_- well duh thats wat it spose 2 do. now i have to redownload it every day (coz my dad scans the comp. for spyware evrynite) or somehow prove to my dad that its perfectly safe.

i dont use limewire i use ares & winmx but i think it depends on what file you download . because you never know when you are gonna get a virus after you download it . most of the time when i downloaded mp3s i dont really get viruses . also if you just want to download mp3s you can try getting winmx . i also scan my computer w/ spydoctor & adware and it doesnt delete those programs soo you can also try winmx but im not exactly sure bout limewire . but i think mp3s do not really have viruses . programs or something thats a diffrent story!
