I heard XBOX2 is going to be called Xenon or something. Sounds pretty interesting if you ask me.
I also heard that there won't be a hard drive on XBOX2 because microsoft simply lost too much money by adding the builtin hard drive. THis is all speculation of course. |

I'm pretty sure Xenon is a fact, and that it not having a built in harddrive is also a fact. Though as has been said before, googling for Xbox 2 will just get fan art and what not. I'm guessing it'll be all black like the PS2, and the current XBox. Microsoft is trying to blend itself into the livingroom with it's Windows Media Center Edition 2005 and what not. It'll probably be made to be able to fit in a cabinet with other highend A/V equipment. It'll more than likely have HD output, maybe even componant output, and of course at least 5.1 surround. These are all things the current Xbox has, minus componant output. I wouldn't be surprised if it could even put out 720i which would be very nice, and would mean it would be a very capable piece of hardware. Since 720i is 1024x768 which is the same as most people's monitors. |
