OOOH ... ok .. here's the deal. I just moved to a new school. Now im pressured to be cool, have a boyfriend so on. and i have ... i never hadto do this in my old school. Im not used to it... my friends are having a party ... and they invited me. They are inviting boys and i come from a strict family where i am not allowed to go out with boys. I already lied to my parents saying that there will be more girls then boys, and that the boys are perfect gentlemens ( cough ) .. but ... i feel so guilty .. i hate lying ... i told my friends already and they said that its a way of life... i hate them .. but they are popular and if i express how i feel about them .. they will turn everyone against me .. help ..

Heh-heh wow.. arguments in this room..! I do say there is a big difference on how things should be handled if your parents are Asian or what not.. but on the subject..
Thinking a group is sooo cool and popular and that you must follow is just stupid and lame... if you intend on doing that, you will just be a follower for the rest of your life.. trying to live in other peoples shoes...trying to be who u are not.. and you will just be a walking bag of lies... Do it because you want too, not because "they are cool" If you have this kind of guilt already.. i recommend just forgetting about it.. (Not geared towards having someone as an idol or someone to look up at.. different situation..) |
