OOOH ... ok .. here's the deal. I just moved to a new school. Now im pressured to be cool, have a boyfriend so on. and i have ... i never hadto do this in my old school. Im not used to it... my friends are having a party ... and they invited me. They are inviting boys and i come from a strict family where i am not allowed to go out with boys. I already lied to my parents saying that there will be more girls then boys, and that the boys are perfect gentlemens ( cough ) .. but ... i feel so guilty .. i hate lying ... i told my friends already and they said that its a way of life... i hate them .. but they are popular and if i express how i feel about them .. they will turn everyone against me .. help ..

there comes a time where you gotta start doing your own thing regardless of what your parents wishes are. the question is when to start making those judgements for yourself. (i think i big thing people leave out of their posts is how old they are) dont get drunk. dont get pregnant. dont get killed. you gotta think (i wish i knew how old these people are) about the likelihood of thes things happening are. liek okay. if you know theres going to be boose there, be careful. if theres gonna be drugs there, be a little more careful. if theres boose and cars, get your own ride. im never one to turn down a good time, but not at the expense of yoru life. thats ungood. and yeah, be yourself. people that are your friends who ARE your friends because of who youve become arent your friends. you gotta get the friends that like you the way you are (for the most part at least). i know peer pressure is a difficult thing to break free from, especially when you havent come of age, but that doesnt mean you shouldnt try. im all for experimentation, but only to the point where peoples lives are in danger. but yeah, get yourself a dood. are you asian? i know what its like to have an asian girlfriend. that was a bad deal... crazy as hell, but it shouldnt have happened the way it did.... ANYWAY! just use your own judgement. dont get drunk. i think thats the biggest danger i see. just have a good time.

If there wil be drugs then she should'nt have to go with these kind of people. they up to no good. So stay away from them, find someone you feel comportable with like what _sarcastic_ said. real friends accept you, who you raelly are and where you come from and what you have done before they knew you.

quess what, l have been in her shoes before and they found out that l am lying to them. l lose their trust on me and they dont trust me anymore. they even start to hate me.

i know i didnt quote your entire thing, but, how is not getting drunk, pregnant, and killed bad advice? and yeah, i think 19 is getting up there. not old persay, but thats getting to be about the age to start stepping out of your parents comfort zone. they know whats best for you, yes, but the whole point of parenting is to pass on to you the skills necesary so that you will be able to make those decisions by yourself when your parents arent there to tell you what to do.

lemme guess, are her parents asian? that would answer a lot (statistically speaking)

you gotta get out. theres a whole world out there (not necessairly a bad world) taht youre not gonna see if you stay couped up inside. i watched ferris bueller this weekend.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
