Gosh... I just had abig fight with my parents saying that they wont let me wear flip flops to school (its allowed in the dress code). They said it makes me look like i live in a trailer. They also said that it does matter what people think about how you dress and stuff. AHH! What do you guys think? Or what should I do?

Well, unless you live in a place like southern California or Flordia where its summer year-round, I wouldn't suggest getting into a fight w/ your parents about flip-flops while it's still winter. Wait 'till it gets a little warmer outside, then talk to your parents again. I wouldn't blame your parents for thinking that flip-flops would make you look like trailer trash b/c it's the winter, hon! Lol. It's pointless to argue about something like that. And if they still don't like you to wear them in the summer, then you probably should just abide by the rules. It'll be a lot better than them finding out and you getting in trouble. |
