Is swearing right or wrong? Or is there a more complex answer?
My answer would be that if swearing offends somebody around you, dont do it. But if your with people who dont mind swear words anymore than words like shucks, or darn, than its okay. Because whe you get down to it, swear words have the same effect as saying ouch when you get hurt. They are just a way of expressing your feelings more effectively than regular words can. |

i admit it.
i'm a pottymouth. and a catholic. but i think swearing IS a sin, however i can't seem to stop sometimes because it becomes just part of your language and doesn't really have any meaning anymore, but i'm not saying that i cuss ALL the time, but people have to know when it's appropriate(with friends, in frustration, etc..) and inappropriate(in front of older people). |
