do it quckly...just tell the person: i really honestly care about you but i just don't feel the same way, i'd love to feel the same way but for some reason i just don't...you shouldn't be with me, i'm such an ass, i'm sorry our feelings aren't mutual, you're is a great catch, there's someone out there who'll be equally devoted to you as you are to me...i'm really sorry...it's okay if you don't want to remain friends but i would want to
